PS122’s COIL Festival

Performance Space 122's COIL Festival kicks off in January, an annual festival featuring performance work created locally and around the world.  This year's event includes two Australian works, 'MEETING' by Antony Hamilton and Alisdair Macindoe and 'Piece for Person and Ghetto Blaster' by Nicola Gunn.

To celebrate the launch of the Festival, we invite you to join us at PS122’s Red + White Party on 8 January. The party celebrates the ongoing collaboration between PS122, the Australia Council for the Arts and the Australian Consulate-General. Work from Australian visual artists Kristin McIver and Ian Strange will be on display. Special thanks to Hudson Wine Brokers in NYC and McPherson Wine Co. from Central Victoria, for their support.

The Present, Sydney Theatre Company (STC)

In a first for Australian theatre, STC will debut their production of The Present on Broadway in January. Starring Cate Blanchett and Richard Roxburgh, the play runs until late March at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. The performance marks the first time an all-Australian cast has performed on Broadway - don't miss out on seeing them in action.

“I immediately fell in love with the energy and diversity of NYC. The scale of the city plays a big part in its appeal, and after four years of living here I know there’s still so much I'm yet to explore. It’s a great city as far as work is concerned and there are opportunities to collaborate here that I wouldn’t have found elsewhere."
