Prep Sports Weekly
Welcome to this week's edition of the Standard-Examiner's prep sports newsletter.
How far would you go to realize a dream?

Caleb Taylor traveled over 2,000 miles, moving all by himself from Plain City to Salisbury, Connecticut, so that he could be a starting high school football quarterback.
The Box Elder girls avenged their only loss of the season and picked up a split of an important season series by defeating Highland 52-42 last week. Box Elder is now in line for a region championship.
The Sky View boys roared back from a 16-point deficit at the end of the first quarter to defeat Weber 68-59 in an important Region 1 showdown last week. Luke White dominated the Warriors down the stretch.
The Layton Christian girls are benefiting from transfer Danyale Thomas, who played last year at Clearfield. The Eagles throttled Waterford 57-24, outscoring the visitors 44-14 after the first quarter.
The Viewmont boys did something they haven't done in quite a while. They beat Davis. Despite watching a 15-point lead evaporate, the Vikings recovered to win 52-49 to hand the Darts their second region loss.
