#ShowingForJordan Fundraiser

#ShowingForJordan t-shirts and bracelets in memory of Jordan Straight Muxfeldt are currently for sale. Shirts and bracelets will be available all week. Shirts are $15.00 and bracelets are $1.00. If you missed buying one at check-in, please call or text Brenda Anderson at 641-512-7423. There are limited numbers of each size available, so please purchase your shirts early to insure your size is still available. 

Wednesday, July 13 will be designated as #ShowingForJordan day. If you have purchased a shirt, we are asking that you wear it Wednesday in memory of Jordan.

All proceeds from the sales of these items will go directly back to Shane and Wayde Muxfeldt.
To-Go Breakfast at the Clarion

The hotel will have a to go breakfast available at the front desk on show days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). They include fruit, muffin and bottled water. They will be brought out around 4:30 each morning. There will be about 50 bags to give out. Huge thanks to University of Kentucky College of Agriculture for putting these bags together!

Today's show will begin at 8:00 a.m., with Scott Bush, South Dakota judging. Show order is: prospect steers, progress steers, bred and owned Limousin females, and owned Lim-Flex females. Don't forget, no paint!

Silent Auction Items

Items for the Limi Booster Silent Auction will be available for bid in the hospitality room until the conclusion of the All-American Limousin Futurity show on Thursday. The Limi Boosters are asking for volunteers to watch over the baskets this week. Please contact Julie Montagne at 605-310-0791 for more information.

Judging Contest

The judging contest will be today at 3:00 p.m., or immediately following the virtual carcass contest. University of Kentucky will be officiating. Adults can register for judging immediately prior to the contest at the show ring with Devan Cox. 
Exhibitors Please Read: Fitting and Paint Rules

The following are the rules for fitting taken directly from the show rules:

To maintain a high degree of confidence in Limousin junior shows, NALJA reserves the right to disqualify any animal for unethical fitting, which shall include the following: 
  • Any use of paints, colored show foam, graphite, colored powders or other substances that may be subject to disqualification. All animals are subject to a "white towel" test from check-in release. NALJA reserves the right to collect hair samples from any animal at any show. 
  • The addition of any hair or hairlike substances, including false tail heads and false polls. (NALJA allows false tail switches.)
  • The cutting, tearing or gluing of the hide or underneath the hide or removal of tissue in an attempt to alter the animal's shape. 
  • The injection of any gas, solid or liquid under the hide to alter the animal's conformation. 
  • Any attempts to disrupt or change the animal's normal dental development. 
  • Any products, such as steroids or growth stimulants, administered internally or externally to alter the animal's conformation. 
  • Any stomach pumping without authorization from a licensed veterinarian.
Shows Continue Tomorrow

Tomorrow, starting at 8:00 a.m., juniors will be exhibiting for the Lim-Flex cow-calf pairs, Limousin cow-calf pairs, bred & owned Lim-Flex bull, bred & owned Limousin bull, and bred & owned Lim-Flex female, owned Limousin female shows. Best state group and best pair of females will be selected as well. Our judge for the day will be Matt Claeys, Indiana. 
Sale of Sales Tomorrow Evening

The “All-American Limousin Futurity Sale of Sales,” will be held at Kentucky Horse Park by digital presentation tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. High quality Limousin and Lim-Flex genetics will be offered by 32 consignors.
