Learn about Amtrak's bicycle service
If you'd like to attend, sign up now through Sched to reserve your place. (Amtrak needs to know who is attending to plan ahead.)

National Bike Summit participants are invited to Washington Union Station to learn more about Amtrak’s bicycle service on Wednesday, March 8 at 9:00am. Train cars equipped with bicycle racks will be on display. Amtrak staff will demonstrate loading bicycles and answer questions. Participants are welcome to bring their bicycles to test out the racks. The first 100 Summit attendees to register through our on-line scheduler before Friday, February 3, will also receive an Amtrak Loves Bikes long-sleeved T-shirt.

Have a question for Amtrak?  We are also collecting questions for Amtrak from League members and supporters. Some of them will be answered at the event, but Amtrak will give written answers for all of them. Whether you are coming to the Summit or not, please submit your questions and we'll get you answers!

Want to learn more about the National Bike Challenge? Attend this breakout session on Tuesday, March 7, at 1:45pm.

In this hands-on workshop held on Thursday, March 9, from 10am to 3pm, Pedal Love Founder/Director Melissa Balmer will share why storytelling is such a powerful tool you need to harness now to keep your current supporters engaged and attract fresh audiences. You'll participate in guided writing exercises and collaborations with fellow participants to find the compelling stories for your organization and from your personal experience. Further, select participants will share their stories with the entire group and will be given positive, useful feedback. You'll leave this workshop knowing exactly how to blend storytelling into your next email newsletter, sponsorship request, live presentation or webinar. Please register for the workshop through the main Summit Eventbrite page.
